Our board represents a cross-section of our community and has a passion for our organization and those we serve. The members work hard to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization and oversee that the funds raised directly affect those in need.

    Rev. Gloria Villa Diaz, D.Min. | Secretary

    Gloria is the Bilingual minister at New Day In Christ Ministries serving inmates around the country and Day-Laborers in Houston, TX.
    She also serves as a member of the Unification Task Force of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America.
    Along with her husband, Rev. Fredy, Gloria serves children and youth through camps and church activities within her denomination.

    Tom Wood is a member of the Clear Lake United Methodist Church, teaching the Sunday morning Voyagers class, among other positions and responsible activities. Tom also serves the community by driving for Bay Area Meals on Wheels with other church/community members. Tom and Jill have two children, one of whom is an ordained Methodist pastor in the Texas Annual Conference.

    James Webb is an Elder at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Houston.
    He is active in the Houston Bay Area Emmaus community, Camp Gilmont (counselor), Crossroads at Parkplace, Love Out Loud, and Young Life.
    Married to Charelle and dad to their three kids: Davis, Aldan, Darcie. James and Charelle own a staffing company in Houston.

    Art Stephenson | Former Board Chair

    Art Stephenson, former Director of NASA-Marshall Space Flight Center, is a member of the Clear Lake United Methodist Church. Since stepping down as Chairman of the Board, Art has invested considerable time in SIFAT, Servants in Faith and Technology, helping to bring clean water to inhabitants of Ecuador and other under served places in the developing world.
